Sanction List Statuses
When the sanction list service is activated, Streamlane automatically screens all passengers and crew against the selected sanction lists (such as EU, UN, OFAC, and others). After screening, the system returns a matching score indicating how closely a traveller’s details resemble an individual on one of these lists.
In addition to the on-screen status, operators also receive an email notification that includes the entry number of the matched individual in the sanction list document, making it easy to locate and review the corresponding record.
Statuses
| Status | Color | Description | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| OK | 🟢 Green | No match found. | None. |
| Possible Match | 🟠 Amber | Partial name or data match. | Verify and clear manually. |
Sanction list statuses are displayed at the flight, passenger and crew level. If at least one passenger or crew is flagged, the overall status turns amber.

Whitelist
A whitelist is a list of individuals who should be excluded from sanction list matches during screening.
This is typically used when a person appears on an official sanction list but has been verified by your organisation as not relevant or not a risk for your operations. Adding them to the whitelist ensures they are not repeatedly flagged.
How to Add Someone to the Whitelist
To add an entry to the whitelist, set the PROGRAM field in your custom list CSV to WHITE-LIST.
Once uploaded, this entry becomes part of your whitelist and is considered during every sanction list check.
When Whitelists Are Useful
Common use cases include:
- False positives
When a traveller shares a common name with someone on a sanction list but has been verified as a different person. - Internal executives or frequent travellers
Who may trigger repeated matches due to name similarity. - Clients with special approval
Cases where operations have confirmed the individual is permitted to travel, despite appearing on a third-party list. - Temporary overrides
When additional context or documentation confirms that a sanctioned identity does not refer to the passenger.
