How to use it
The Sanction list service offers three modes of service:
- Manual search of a specific person via your GOVLINK webportal account (the person to be checked is not required to be a passenger of a flight present in Govlink)
- Check on request (automated) for all the passengers and crew members present on a given flight (triggered on request only – this mode is only available on certain interface)
- Automated check for all the passengers and crew members present on a given flight, at each flight upload (creation and subsequent updates).

Manual name search
This feature is accessible via the Sanction List / Manual search menu.

The user provides as input:
- the mandatory search criteria: First Name and Last Name
- the optional search criteria: Middle Name, Date of Birth, Gender.

- If Govlink doesn’t find any match in the different Sanction lists, the result ‘No match’ is returned to the user
- Otherwise, Govlink displays all the matches found in the different Sanction lists, listing the available data among:
- First Name, Middle Name and Last Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth, Place of Birth
- Nationality
- State (origin of the sanction list). This value will be 99 for custom lists. o Official document link
- Ref for match: the reference from the Sanction list, to help the user find the match in the official document and take the appropriate decision.
Check on request
A manual check can be performed on all the passengers and crew members of a given flight present in Govlink. This option is available from the Flight details screen, via the Check sanction list button:

Clicking on the Check sanction list button triggers the check of all the passengers and crew members present on the flight. Govlink displays the timestamp of the last check performed, and a global Sanction list status.
Automated check
An automated check can also be configured, to avoid manually clicking on the Check sanction list button. With such a configuration, the sanction list check (on all the passengers and crew members defined on the flight) is performed at each flight upload (creation and subsequent updates). If supported by the flight management system, the passengers on flights that are not present in GOVlink can also be configured to be checked.
