What is the Sanction list service

The sanction lists check compares a person identity (passengers/crew) with the main international sanction lists to detect if this person is under a sanction.
When a check is launched, the passengers and crew members are matched against the below sanction lists but also against  your custom lists:

  • EU: Consolidated List of Travel Bans
  • UN: United Nations Security Council Consolidated List
  • GBR: United Kingdom HM Treasury Consolidated Sanctions List
  • USA: United States OFAC SDN (Specially Designated Nationals) and Blocked Persons List
  • CHE: Swiss SECO Sanctions/Embargoes
  • FRA: GEL DES AVOIRS
  • TUR: Türkiye Ministry of Interior Terrorist Wanted List
  • AUS: Australia Consolidated List
  • CAN: Consolidated Canadian Autonomous Sanctions List
  • UAE: United Arab Emirates Local Terrorist List

These lists are automatically updated when new versions of the lists become available.

The matching result is :

  • sent by email (upon your email notification choice)
  • displayed in the Passenger details screen or Crew member details screen of your flight management interface and in your Govlink account.

Email notification options

The output of the sanction lists checks can be sent automatically to pre-configured  email addresses. By default:

  • emails are sent only in case a match is found
  • a new email is sent upon subsequent flight uploads only if the matching result  changes

This default configuration can be changed:

  • to send emails even in case no match is found
  • to send systematic emails at each sanction list check

Example of a “match” email notification.

The email contains the flight identification information and the information related to the  match. The match information is presented with the following columns:

  • Name: The person’s name. Only the first and last characters of the first and last  names are displayed.
  • Id: The passenger’s or crew member’s external id in GOVlink
  • Average matching rate: A percentage that indicates the matching rate, averaged over  all matches.
  • Match(es): The list of matches, including a link to download each match’s source list  in pdf format.
